The G1 continues to die a long, prosperous death ... XDA devs hack Google Navigation
I admit I have a soft spot in my heart for the T-Mobile G1. It was the first Android device and it has been a recipient of just about every feature of Google Android whether officially supported or not. One day, the G1 will truly be put to rest, but today isn't the day. The devs over at XDA have managed to port the Google Android 2.0 Navigation with free turn-by-turn directions to the G1. If you're not afraid to load up some unofficial package, head over to XDA and grab it. I'm sure this won't make it to any official cooked roms any time soon because of the whole Google Apps fiasco with cyanogenmod. Nonetheless, pretty cool.
