If you follow android news, you most likely have heard of android developer cyanogen's latest run in with the google lawyers. Like any good coder, he didn't completely "cease and desist" what he was doing, he just found another way to make it work. Cyanogenmod adds most of the latest features from Android, along with some software enhancements and tweaks, which definitely makes for a more enjoyable experience, especially if you have a G1/Dream.
